Valuations & Final Accounts

Cashflow & Payments

For Contractors

One of the main functions of a landscape contractor’s quantity surveyor is to ensure timely and full payment for work carried out on site. For most landscapers interim payments are their only source of income, from which they fund the whole project. In general, landscape contracts provide within their conditions regular and timely payments to the contractor.

Landscape Consultancy Service can calculate accurate valuations of work-in-progress in order to apply for stage payments from the client. This includes the physical measurement of the works carried out on the site and materials delivered. We generally carried out the measurement with the clients QS together so that agreement can be reached on site prior to the valuation being submitted for certification. We find that this approach leads to less disputes and quicker payments to contractors. .

The elements to be included within an interim certificate can include:

  • PreliminariesMeasured works
  • Valuation of variations
  • Remeasurement of provisional items, prime cost (PC) sums and provisional quantities
  • Valuation of nominated subcontractors and suppliers

Following on from our valuations service we also offer to undertake all works entailed to settle the final account, including preparation, submission & subsequent agreement with the relevant parties.

Our Final Accounts services which we provide to both landscape contractors ensure the following:-

All work executed by the contractor including variations, provisional sums and quantities, day works etc are accurately assessed and included
